Charles Edward “Ed” Oliver was born on December 20, 1941 to Monroe and Willie C. Oliver, in Smithville, Tx. He attended Mary A Brown school in Smithville, Tx where he graduated in the class of 1960. Ed was a lifelong resident of Smithville and very well known throughout the community. Some of his favorite pastimes were hanging out at the recreation center with his buddies and on Friday nights watching the Smithville Tigers play football, he was a devoted fan.
Charles departed this life on April 30, 2022 at the Bastrop Nursing Center in Bastrop TX after a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, brother, sister, niece and nephews. His memory will live forever in the hearts of his two Sisters: Janice (Greg) Johnson of Smithville Tx, Joyce M. Fortice of Houston Tx, Son: Charles Oliver Jr of Houston Tx, Daughter: Sandra Felix of Bastrop Tx, 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and his beloved dog “Nay Nay
